San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, Texas

Built in the mid-1700s, the San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio, Texas is recognized for being one of the oldest cathedrals in the United States. The structure marks the geographical center of San Antonio, and is also noteworthy because the heroes of the Alamo, Davy Crockett, William B. Travis, and Jim Bowie are entombed here.

Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World

Opened in 1989, Disney's Hollywood Studios (then Disney-MGM Studios) was the third theme park built at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Originally focused on the golden age of Hollywood (which included a licensing deal with MGM and a functioning backlot) in recent years Disney's Hollywood Studios has been undergoing some major changes.

Former icons of the park like the Mickey Mouse Earffel Water Tower, the giant Sorcerer's Hat from Fantasia, and the backlot tour are all gone now. However, this has made way for new additions to Disney's Hollywood Studios like Pixar's Toy Story Land and the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge expansion, which should be pretty incredible when it opens.

In the meantime, we had a blast exploring Hollywood Boulevard, visiting with Muppets, picking up movie souvenirs, watching a live Beauty and the Beast show, riding the Hollywood Tower of Terror, eating Mickey Mouse pretzels, and watching Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. It was a whirlwind day of good times - as is any visit to a Disney theme park.
