State House in Montpelier, Vermont

Located in Montpelier, the Vermont State House is the smallest state capitol building in the smallest city to serve as a state capital. First occupied in 1859, the current state house is the third building constructed on this site to be used as the State House of Vermont.

Connecticut State Capitol in Hartford

Completed in 1878, the Connecticut State Capitol in Hartford is the third (and current) capitol building for the State of Connecticut since the American Revolution. It's noted for being one of the largest buildings done in the Eastlake style, and is often ranked highly as one of the most beautiful capitol buildings in the United States.
