Mailing A Postcard From the Vatican Post Office

The Vatican Post Office must make most of its revenue from tourists, because upon exiting St. Peter's Basilica you'll quickly notice the yellow post box and loads of people eager to mail their postcards home from the world's smallest country. Naturally we had to partake, and chose postcards featuring the dome of St. Peter's (after just finishing the dome climb). It took nearly a month, but both postcards arrived safely (and stamped) from Vatican City

Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola in Rome, Italy

Constructed in the Baroque style between 1626 to 1650, Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola (AKA The Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola at Campus Martius) is a stunning Roman Catholic church in Rome, Italy. Noted for its impressive frescos and use of linear perspective, the paintings feature the "illusion" of a dome which isn't actually there. What makes the interior of Sant'Ignazio particularly incredible is that it is hidden by a far more unassuming exterior.

A Month of Travel Shoots Across Italy

The better part of this month has been defined by a series of brand new travel shoots across Italy. This time I was fortunate to have my dad along for the ride as we explored landmarks and attractions (largely) around Rome, Florence, Naples, and Venice. Stay tuned as these new photo essays are added to the Overseas Collection in the months ahead.
