Located in Montpelier, the Vermont State House is the smallest state capitol building in the smallest city to serve as a state capital. First occupied in 1859, the current state house is the third building constructed on this site to be used as the State House of Vermont.
The "Great Calgary Invasion of 1919" is this week's made up inspiration for a B-movie that doesn't exist lol. Influenced by old movie posters, the drive-in, and a century's worth of old theatre ads that I've been browsing for the new documentary project - this campy print is the latest addition to the "Surreal Alberta" series.
Also known as the Herb Brooks Arena, this venue was built for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York. In addition to numerous events being hosted here, this arena is where the "Miracle on Ice" took place which saw the United States' 4-3 victory over the Soviet Union.
