One Night in Las Vegas

After two weeks of road tripping, my friend Mike and I prepared ourselves for one more night of fun and adventure as we drove into Las Vegas, Nevada. We didn't really have a plan, but if there's one place where that works just fine it's Vegas. An upgraded room at Paris overlooking the Eiffel Tower and Bellagio fountains was a great start.

I got in a few quick games of roulette, we both collected a few more impromptu souvenirs we didn't need, and followed it up with a ride on the High Roller Ferris Wheel. Before long it was the middle of the night and we realized we had to be back on the road first thing in the morning. It was a brief visit, but an undeniably fun one too.

Christmas in Alberta: An Archival Throwback

From farms and ranches to corner shops and downtown department stores, Christmas in Alberta is actually pretty fascinating to look back on. Imagine a simpler time and allow yourself to get lost in the charm of a good old fashioned prairie Christmas. Here are a series of archival images from around Alberta that could be straight out of a Christmas special.
