Welcome to Beverly Hills, California

Surrounded by high-end real estate and designer shops, our stop in Beverly Hills, California was admittedly a brief one. We had spent the night on Hollywood Boulevard and made our way up to Sunset and into Beverly Hills the following day to have a look around.

We stopped at the famous Beverly Hills Lily Pond, cruised down Rodeo Drive, had a quick glimpse at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and then made our way up into the Hills. The homes were pretty incredible, but as was expected most of the views were obscured from the road. Who could blame them with people like us always passing through? One of my favorite parts was actually the tall palm trees lining the neighborhood streets. That's just an iconic Los Angeles visual to me.

We didn't spot any celebrities, not that we were really looking, however with its pop culture status Beverly Hills is a lot like a theme park. Everything is impeccably manicured, there are so many styles of architecture between the homes on each street, and there were Bentleys and Rolls Royces in a handful of driveways. In a lot of ways it is just one big fantasy land. Take from that what you will, it's a beautiful place to explore.
