Jasper SkyTram Whistlers Mountain: Part 1

Riding the Jasper SkyTram and hiking to the summit of Whistlers Mountain was one of my favorite moments on my road trip through the Alberta Rockies this summer. The aerial tram boasts being the longest and highest tramway in Canada, and reaches nearly 2300 meters (7472 feet) above sea level. Needless to say, the air was a bit thinner, the temperature a bit cooler, and the views even more unbelievable.

I also came across a few marmots, snapped a few profile pics (as you do), and continued to marvel at the scenery from the countless vantage points along my trek.

In contrast to the Banff Gondola, which I road just a couple days prior, I loved how once you reached the top of the Jasper SkyTram you just walked right out onto the mountain. Nothing was fenced off or too manufactured, and because there were numerous trails to choose from, once you got a little ways up the mountain it was like having the location all to yourself. It was the perfect place to collect my thoughts. I loved every minute of it.

Portfolio Updates: Fandrix 5.0

It's been a year since I last updated my portfolio site, but because of issues with the mobile version not being viewable on iPads and iPhones it was time that I upgraded with HTML5. All this really means is that fandrix.com is now viewable on all devices. The best thing is actually having all of my social media hotlinks (facebook, twitter, blogger, youtube, and instagram) easily accessible from every page. I've stuck with simplicity for my portfolio, keeping it a hub to launch you into other parts of my online network. See for yourself!
