360 Chicago at the John Hancock Center

Located on the 94th floor, 360 Chicago is an observation deck in the John Hancock Center that rivals the Skydeck at Willis Tower in downtown Chicago, Illinois. The building currently has its naming rights for sale, but much like the Sears Tower, the former John Hancock name has stuck.

One of the coolest things about this visit to 360 Chicago was being on the observation deck as a storm rolled in. In the distance you could see the storm clouds approaching and only half an hour later the windows were completely whited out with rain streaming down them. It was eerie and beautiful to take in the amazing views and then have them vanish in a matter of minutes.

Run, Run Rudolph in O'Hare International

As a big fan of Home Alone, it was only fitting to run through the American Airlines wing of O'Hare International while in Chicago, Illinois. American Airlines was actually one of the film's sponsors, hence the brand recognition in the movie. While there's not really much to see here, it's still fun being in familiar spots like this and feeling like you're crossing paths with pop culture.

Chicago Athletic Association Hotel

Opened in 1893 as the Chicago Athletic Association, a private men's club and sporting facility, this historic downtown Chicago building was transformed into a luxury hotel in 2015. 

Located right in the heart of downtown Chicago, Illinois, directly across the street from the iconic Cloud Gate in Millennium Park, the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel blends upscale styling with historic architecture and impeccable attention to detail.
