Cameron Lake in Waterton Lakes

Driving from the Waterton townsite out to Cameron Lake in Waterton Lakes National Park was a short, but incredibly scenic drive. The road is lined with small waterfalls, stunning vistas, and plenty of curves to keep things interesting. The journey is only made better by the view revealed at Cameron Lake.

You can instantly feel the chill in the air when you step out of your car. The lake is a glacial basin, and all of the snow on the surrounding mountains is really picturesque. I loved chilling out here and almost had the place entirely to myself when I arrived. It was a nice surprise on the road trip, and naturally a joy to photograph.
