Always opt for a view. While travel shooting in Japan we were keen to stay at several properties, but it was the top floor corner suite at Hotel Keihan Tsukiji Ginza Grande in central Tokyo where we really treated ourselves. Surrounded by uninterrupted, overwhelming city views through the floor to ceiling windows, our stay here only further emphasized the incredible scale of Tokyo.

Tokyo Skytree in Tokyo, Japan
Opened in 2012, Tokyo Skytree is a broadcast and observation tower that upon completion instantly became a new symbol for the city of Tokyo, Japan. At 634 metres tall, Tokyo Skytree not only towers above every other structure in Tokyo, it is 2nd in height only to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and is twice as tall as the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Tokyo Skytree features two observation decks, the main Tembo Gallery (350 metres) and the top deck Tembo Galleria (450 metres). While the iconic Tokyo Tower offers better views of central Tokyo, the height of Tokyo Skytree offers an unreal, and arguably more dramatic vantage point of the world's largest city. More images from the very top deck here.

Floor 450: Tokyo Skytree Tembo Galleria
As the highest of the two observation decks at Tokyo Skytree, the Tembo Galleria (or Floor 450) offers incredible views of Tokyo, Japan at 450 metres above the ground. As one of the highest observation decks in the world the views from Tokyo Skytree are absolutely surreal.
