Star Wars Costumes, EMP Museum: Part 1

This summer I explored the Star Wars and the Power of Costume exhibit at the EMP Museum (Experience Music Project) in Seattle, Washington. This traveling exhibit featured 60+ of the iconic costumes from the original trilogy and prequel Star Wars movies.

To recap, this exhibit included a curated selection of the original hand-made costumes from Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith.

There's something really exciting about being in such close proximity to the original costumes from one of the greatest movie franchises of all time. As someone who grew up hearing "Luke I am your father" on a pretty regular basis, I became a fan of Star Wars before I even really knew what it was. Here are a few of the highlights I captured at the Star Wars and the Power of Costume exhibit while it was in Seattle.
