Jasper Park Information Centre

Completed in 1914, the Jasper Park Information Centre is a National Historic Site of Canada. Located in the townsite of Jasper, Alberta, the building is noteworthy for its rustic architecture and use of local cobblestone and timber in its construction. The building originally housed the park administration offices, a museum, and residence for the superintendent of Jasper National Park.

Today the building is a tourist information centre, and is surrounded by the beautifully landscaped Athabasca Park. As I explored Jasper, I continually found my way back to the Info Centre because of its central location. Not surprisingly, it seemed to be a popular hangout for everyone else too.
