Ewart-Duggan House Garden

A lot can change in the course of a year. I photographed the Ewart-Duggan House last spring in 2012 before the new landscaping and fence were completed. I decided to return to photograph the location again in the summer heat, and now it's obvious just how much this historic home has been improved upon. The fence and garden are meant to reflect the original look of the property, and in combination with the neighbouring Esplanade, the house now feels integrated with the surroundings and further echoes the historic prominence of this downtown Medicine Hat street.
