I shot so many images of this B-17 Bomber while it was in town that one post didn't seem to do it justice. This is a continuation of my photo set of the B-17 Flying Fortress known as Sentimental Journey.

B-17 Flying Fortress: Part 1
This week a beautifully restored B-17 Flying Fortress Bomber was at the Medicine Hat airport and on display for visitors to come and have a look. As an avid fan of vintage machines and vehicles, not to mention WWII history, this was a real treat. Recognizing the significance of these aircraft in the war effort and having the opportunity to see one still in operation is like getting to visit a living museum.
Named Sentimental Journey, this B-17 is part of the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force and was restored to how it looked back in 1944 when it was built. The aircraft has been on a summer long tour, and as you'll notice by all of the pictures I took, I was really impressed by this stunning piece of aviation history. An iconic B-17 in such pristine condition is nothing short of a work of art.
