Here's my first attempt at a little EntreCard contest. Below I've posted my 3 minute short film Day Dream Day, and what I'm looking for is a one sentence review. It can be a tagline, a comparison, a single word, a summary, something poetic or blunt, elaborate or simple, but it can only be one sentence.Leave your sentence as a comment to this post, and be sure to have a link back to your blog. You can enter as many times as you want, but the winners will ultimately be determined by myself (and a select group of friends) based on the quality and creativity of the sentence submitted. The winners will be announced and the credits will be awarded in one week on January 11, 2009. Credits will be distributed as follows: 500ec for 1st place, 300ec for 2nd place, and 200ec for 3rd place.
In addition to the credits, the winners sentences will be showcased and referenced on the brand new poster for Day Dream Day, which will be viewable on my blog, Editing Luke and on my Fandrix Films Facebook Group.
I'm not expecting miracles here folks. Be creative, be genuine, and have fun!

Neo-Seussian.
I liked the music and the quiet, aloofness of being on the roof thinking, which reminded me of when I looked out over the lake early in the morning before anyone else was up and about at camp.

GREAT,THOUGHTS ON THE ROOF TOP
In dreams, the future is limitless.
The film seems like it's only a way to get a wider audience for your verse. The section at the end where there was no voiceover didn't seem to have a reason to be there. I liked the visuals and verse but...
I appreciate the critique utenzi. The short is entirely self-referential focused on me contemplating what I'd like to do next; how I'd like to make more movies. The ending was a stylistic choice, after basically listening to me talk about how I'd like to make movies, the ending reveals the various transition clips of me actually making this one. To me it was a way of mixing the mellow dream/poem aspect of the short with the reality of actually having to constructing it, to work at what I was saying I'd do.
I can't expect everyone to see it the same way, which is why it's fun.
On with the contest though! Keep the one-liners coming!
visionary but sentimentil at old fashioned way
How about:
a) Rooftop reflections
or
b) Crossroads
It was really interesting near the end, where we see the view moving up and down, and in suggests the narrators POV as he walks.
When you can't find solace in keeping your feet on the ground, head to the roof.
Our narrator is young, but you must understand that even when you're middle aged, bald with a pot belly you still need to get "lost in it" to avoid becoming one of the walking dead.

sojourn on the roof
Although from different places, but this perception is consistent, which is relatively rare point!
Ponderings from on top of the world aka the rooftop

Great post. I feel life is unpredictable and there are no limits in life. The roof really symbolizes life and I like how you described it, good job!
This video reminds me of my childhood when I pondered about life. Thanks for bringing back old memories
