Charlie is still the best actor to ever grace the silver screen. The things he did with SILENT movies is amazing. He was most talented.

Nice pic reo, loves it, but I am going to have to disagree on this choice. Chaplin is a pioneer and all that but his films tend to not entertain me much. It's not that he is bad, in fact I prefered watching his stuff rather than Welles or Hitchcock, it just I find him not as entertaining as some people today. I can watch Transformers over and over and still get excited to see giant robots or Adam Sandler flicks when they have small jokes that go from show to show and you miss them the first time becasue you are laughing at something else. I have no want to watch chaplin over and over, his jokes give me one laugh b/c they seem to be punch line kinda jokes. The next time you see it, it is not as funny and looses shimmer.

I respect the guy but definately can only handle so much of him. Maybe in 10 years when I forget all that I have seen I'll watch it again.

fair enough M, it's not for everyone. keep in mind though, Charlie dominated his films because he could say loads without opening his mouth. His shtick was grade A, and in recent memory i can't think of any one who has even come close to being as good as he was. it's funny to me because he could tumble around or trip like he was being animated by a cartoonist, and whether or not you get a laugh from it, it's still incredible stuff captured on film.

I would agree he is the cats pajama's for his time and no one will ever match him. Your pick is what makes you luke and that crazy painter guy awesome.

haha, for sure! it would be pretty boring if we all liked the same thing, and at least you have the courtesy to acknowledge his talent. thanks for the comments!
